Seismic Analysis of Earth Slope Using a Novel Sequential Hybrid Optimization Algorithm

چکیده
One of the most important topics in geotechnical engineering is seismic analysis earth slope. In this study, a pseudo-static limit equilibrium approach applied for slope stability evaluation under earthquake loading based on Morgenstern–Price method general shape slip surface. approach, minimum factor safety corresponding to critical failure surface should be investigated and it complex optimization problem. This paper proposed an effective sequential hybrid algorithm tunicate swarm (TSA) pattern search (PS) analysis. The employs global ability TSA local PS. performance new CTSA-PS using set benchmark test functions results are compared with standard some other methods from literature. addition, two case studies literature considered evaluate efficiency numerical investigations show that may provide better optimal solutions outperform previous methods.
